Eucharistic flash mob!!
EPIPHANY Sunday, January 3, 2016, we celebrated a bit differently! Dictionary.com defines "flash mob" as a group of people who meet in a public place for the purpose of doing an unusual or entertaining activity of short duration. In the spirit of Christmas season we began with a special meal together! We had breakfast burritos, fruit and donuts with our coffee and milk. As breakfast was winding down the lights were dimmed, our musicians began singing, and Fr. Tom processed in carrying the monstrance with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist! He had helpers who also brought in incense, candles and flowers! The people were caught by surprise, but as they were invited to "Come, kneel before Him now!", we joined in adoration, reflection, worship then benediction. In the celebration of the Magi finding their Savior, we remembered and payed homage to the Jesus who is right in our midst, offered to us - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity -- at every Mass! May our gifts of love, faith, community, spiritual formation, worship and joy be pleasing to God our Father, Jesus our Savior and the Holy Spirit who dwells within us!!
