the sacrament of baptism
infant baptism
-- newborns and those not yet of catechetical age (5 and younger)
Sunday, the Lord’s Day, is the Church’s preferred time for infant baptism, especially at Mass, though the sacrament may be celebrated at other times. Those interested in having an infant or young child baptized please call Vicki Conder at the parish office. Formation for new parents (or those new to our parish) and godparents are available by appointment, and Baptisms are celebrated as requested. As you begin to prepare for the Baptism of your child, it is so important to remember your own Baptism, and to think about your membership in the community, and the mission of Christ. To witness a Baptism, or to bring our own children to receive the Sacrament of Baptism, should inspire all of us to take another look at the Church's teachings, to increase our understanding, and to see how we continue to live out the Sacrament of Baptism in our lives.
